I am contacting you this morning with a very very urgent prayer request. This morning (about 20 min ago) while I was at church a friend there said she knows of a friend of a friend (Lydia) who has a scheduled appointment for an abortion this morning. She requested that I begin praying as soon as possible that God will intervene in this situation. I know abortion at times may seem like an abstract idea or something very removed from our every day lives, but this is real and this is happening THIS morning. We often pray for a general "end to abortion" but this is a specific abortion which our prayers can end NOW. Please please please take a moment (or more) to pray for Lydia THIS MORNING if possible.

84% of women who have abortions face a greater risk of suicide, accidental death, or homicide in the following death.
65% suffer trauma after the procedure
There is a 65% higher risk for development of clinical depression, 160% greater chance to be hospitalized for psychiatric treatment
84% say they are not given adequate counseling to deal with these post-abortion affects
Anger, Rage, self-injury, and drug abuse are all also symptoms of diagnosed post-abortion syndrome.

I could go on and on with the statistics about the horrendous affects abortion has women after they have this experience. PLEASE PRAY that Lydia will be saved from this experience TODAY and that the truly loving option like adoption is selected over abortion.
