Dear Friends,

Please take a minute to review the novena below which the Knights of Columbus are beginning next Sunday, DIvide Mercy Sunday, for the Pope & will end on the 5th anniversary of his installation as Pope.

This is important, not because the Holy Father is in panic mode, because he's obviously not, but because our Father is being viciously attacked and, as his children, its our duty & joy to stand with him. In the last couple of weeks, I've had at least a dozen people in my family & in this diocese say something to me like: "See, the Pope (or the Church etc) didn't turn out to be so good after all!"....So good people are getting thrown around by the media feeding frenzy. THIS is the time for us to beseech heaven. Please join me & Knights & forward this since time is short.
He is Risen,

Glenna

Prayer for Pope Benedict

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to your shepherd, Benedict, a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he, as successor to the Apostle Peter and Vicar of Christ, build your Church into a sacrament of unity, love and peace for all the world. Amen.

V/ Let us pray for Benedict, the pope.
R/ May the Lord preserve him, give him a long life,
make him blessed upon the earth,
and not hand him over to the power of his enemies.
V/ May your hand be upon your holy servant.
R/ And upon your son, whom you have anointed.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
