Here's another update for ALL of our wonderful pray-ers, Jay. This is written by his mother:

Good morning,

I thank God for his steadfast love and healing that touches Kyle daily. We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of support through cards, calls, prayers, texts, and posts on Facebook.

I am full of hope today, and can't wait to get into the hospital to see my boy. Yesterday, Kyle's eyes fluttered open several times, and during those seconds he turns his head toward our voices when we talk to him. He is starting to nod at times when the nurse asks him questions. They have the TV on in his room too, and Madison said once it looked like he was staring at the TV yesterday. They are turning down his sedation a bit every day and we are hopeful that they start to wean him off the vent soon. A couple of times I laid his bed flat and helped him stretch his arms up over his head and move his legs up. He arched his back, stretched, and seemed to really be comfortable in that position. He has not been fighting the vent during those seconds of awareness, and I am so thankful for that. He remains calm with good O2 levels of 96-98 with his blood pressure and heartrate staying low. When he does get onery and feisty after coughing, he recovers in just a few minutes now instead of the hours it was taking.

Kyle's numbers are looking great, so just pray that these hold as they try to turn the vent down. Keep the prayers coming, the lungs are healing, in His time...we just need to be patient. "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound..." We are blessed and we're grateful!

Love to all, Tina, Don, Kyle & Madison
